Welcome to my Rider Education Page. The purpose of the page is to provide a resource for new and experienced riders to find information, locate links to motorcycle resources and also see what there is to learn about safe and responsible operation.
I started riding motorcycles when I was about 10 years old. As it turned out, my neighbor had one of those indestructible Honda Mini Trail 50s. I took a ride and I was hooked. (actually I was hooked before that)
As I couldn't afford my own, I read everything I could get my hands on. When I turned 16 I took summer a job umpiring baseball games and bought a 1965 Honda S65. I moved up through several bikes.
In 1978 I took a college course called "Motorcycle Safety". This was the early version of the MSF course. Only then did I begin to realize how much I truly didn't understand about riding a motorcycle. I became an Instructor that year and have been teaching MSF classes since.
