Pavel Luchinov Dimitrov

Every racer needs those people that understand what it is all about. Without Pavel's help, the thumper would not have been as good as it was. Pavel is a European trained machinist and mechanic who escaped from Bulgaria and came to Canada and then the U.S during the 1960s. During his time in Bulgaria he raced BMW sidecars. His Motto:

"I made the FIRST one!"

On the Ascot he did custom machine work, brazed, repaired, advised, inspected. He often explained why my motor went knock...knock...bang....thud. Much of what you see below is his handywork.

Lathe turned billet aluminum carb. intake (pure art)

Steering damper mount

new battery mount

Aluminum Tachometer mount

Rear wheel guard

Trick lathe turned fork caps

Head work to correct the White Brothers valve keepers that didn't work.

Here you see the Ascot at its final stage of development

In the background you can just see the work place of Pavel the "Artist"... His lathe
