Trans-Atlantic BikeShare started in 1992 as a result of a BikeShare between Tony Wood (UK) and Tom Burklow (USA) We both had similar interests in touring overseas bought found the financial costs to be large obstacle.
As a result of a letter Tony wrote to the BMW Owner's news I contacted Tony and arrangements were made to exchange the use of each other's motorcycles in the future. The rest is history....

As many of you are aware of by now, One of the founding members of BikeShare passed away in February. It came as quite a shock to all who knew Tony as he was in fine health and had many future plans for he and his wife Shirley.
